Monsters of the Night

So peaceful and so calm, the sound of silence is almost deafening. The world is so quiet and I can't help but admire it's beauty. At the darkest hour of the night, that's when thoughts come rushing in. I look up at the night sky and see billions of stars. They know my dreams and they know my secrets. They can hear my thoughts and take away my sorrows. Without speaking, they tell me everything I need to hear.

It's mesmerizing to say the least. How something so far from our reach can make us feel so close to life itself. That moment, when you're looking up and smiling at the moon and just for a second it seems like it's smiling back. It's moments like this, when we finally connect with the universe, that make us feel alive. It always seems to make things better. To look up and see this magical life above us. Our problems end up appearing so small when we realize how infinite the world is.

The world is so beautiful at this time of night. If only more people were awake to see it.
